Batana oil is a thicker brown substance extracted from the American palm tree native to Central and South America. It can be used to hydrate and moisturize the scalp, which helps achieve and maintain luscious locs and even repairs some damage. Batana oil is rare because its extraction process is very labor-intensive and mostly done by hand. Each American palm tree produces 10 to 20 large fruit bunches every year.
